Weekend Singapore - Local Markets

As a Singaporean, weekends are something precious but always a bit of a pain to think up of things to do other than eating, cafe hopping and shopping in malls. So here's my list of local markets to go to as some alternatives for a weekend shopping.

Public Garden

Public Garden offers a wonderful selection of vendors that features design, art, fashion, vintage, hand made beauty products and many more. They have vendors from all over the world participating but what is lovely is the many local small business producing really interesting products. You'll even find a fortune teller at the market at certain weekends. You'll likely find that special something you are looking for at this market.

Address: varies - check their Facebook for venues

Happens every weekend from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Happening once every quarter, Kranji Countryside Farmers' Market is a great market to visit with a wonderful selection of farm produce grown in Singapore! It's a great way to support farming in Singapore and not to mention getting really fresh produce.
